Training & Programs

Once you have completed the basic 24-hour CERT training, you are eligible to sign up for advanced level training sessions. These sessions last ca. 4 hours and will be taught at our Emergency Operations Center in Facilities Management every first Thursday of the month starting February 2018.

The UCLA Office of Emergency Management wants to assist all UCLA community members in preparing as best as they can for disasters and other emergencies. We offer customized training presentations and workshops to students, faculty, and staff upon request.

Emergencies and disasters present numerous, unique challenges for both emergency responders and the campus officials who manage the response. At UCLA, the Campus Emergency Operations Group (CEOG) is responsible for facilitating overall emergency response coordination on campus.

UCLA offers CERT classes throughout the year to all students, staff & faculty. These classes are limited to 25 seats and fill up fast. Classes will be taught in a series on campus.

About Cert

Wardens play an integral part in preparing for and responding to emergencies on campus. The Office of Emergency Management is always looking for more wardens. All UCLA staff & faculty can volunteer to become a warden.
